Jack Reacher: Never Go Back

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back is an American movie action thriller directed by Edward Zwick and written by Zwick, Marshall Herskovitz and Richard Wenk. A sequel of 2012 film Jack Reacher, the film stars Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders, Patrick Heusinger, Aldis Hodge, Danika Yarosh and Holt McCallany. The plot follows Reacher up on-the-run with a commander of the army who was wrongly framed for espionage.

Principal photography began October 20, 2015 in New Orleans and the film was released October 21, 2016 in IMAX and conventional formats. It received mixed reviews and was a recipe of $ 60 million.

Plot:

After dismantling brigade of trafficking in human beings, Jack Reacher returns to his former military headquarters to meet the staff Susan Turner, who helped him in his investigations, to learn of his former rival, Colonel Sam Morgan, thatTurner was accused of spying and detained.

Turner’s lawyer, Colonel Bob Moorcroft, reveals that there is evidence that Turner was involved in the murders of two soldiers in Afghanistan, but Reacher thinks she is framed. Moorcroft also reveals an old acquaintance of Reacher, Candice Dayton, filed a paternity suit against him, claiming that he is the biological father of her 15 year old daughter, Samantha Dayton. Moorcroft is then killed by a murderer known as the “The Hunter”.

Reacher reaches for Samantha, but she rejects him, believing he is after her biological mother because of his past as a drug addict. Reacher is later framed for the murder of Moorcroft and detained alongside Turner. Assassins arrive to kill them but Reacher neutralizes saves Turner and they escape to the house of Morgan, after deducting he is involved in the conspiracy, to extract information. After they left, the Hunter kills Morgan and supervises Reacher.

Reacher and discover Samantha Turner surveillance images and assume she is in danger, coming to his home to find her dead adoptive parents and Samantha hiding in the kitchen. After learning of a friend, the sergeant Leach, he has also been framed for the death of Morgan, Reacher decides to escort Samantha to a private school for protection, but discover that she has her mobile phone with her and the enemy probably knows exactly where they are. They undo the phone and make a quick exit, in which Samantha steals a backpack of a student to use credit cards.

Reacher, Turner and Samantha go to New Orleans in search of Daniel Prudhomme, the only eyewitness to the murders Turner was charged. They find an abandoned warehouse full of drug addicts and learn that Prudhomme is linked to Parasource, a private military organization trying to conceal the killings. Reacher contact the friend of Turner, Captain Anthony Espin to transfer Prudhomme in custody, but they are ambushed by assassins and Prudhomme is killed while Reacher rescues Espin and discovers that the murderers are Parasource entrepreneurs. The Director General of Parasource, General James Harkness, then sends his executioner, the hunter to capture Samantha after she uses a credit card to order room service.

Reacher and Turner, with Espin, acting on information provided by Prudhomme, flight intercept weapons due to leave the country, where they confront Harkness and his men and accuse them of corruption. When opening the boxes, however, Espin find weapons as stated in the flight manifest. Before Turner could be arrested again, Reacher opens a weapon crates and discovers that they are filled with opium. They learn that Harkness framed Turner, who investigated its activities for the murders of two soldiers who discovered that Harkness was selling weapons to insurgents and drug smuggling to the United States. Espin and his men then stop Harkness, clearing Reacher and Turner names.

The hunter and his men locate and hunt Samantha in the streets to attract Reacher in a confrontation. Turner kills murderers, while another Reacher comes out on the roof. The hunter capture Samantha and threatens to kill her, but she managed to escape and steal his weapon. Reacher then addresses the hunter on another roof, preventing the short-term, and they have a vicious fight that culminates Reacher breaking the arm, leg and neck of the hunter, before dropping it from the roof. Reacher then Samantha admits he could be her father.

After the arrest of Harkness, Turner is reinstated in his former position and returns to his office, where his colleagues and the captain Espin welcome him. Reacher promises to stay in touch before meeting Samantha to dinner to meet Candice, conjecture that it will recognize as he remembered everyone with whom he slept. Samantha reveals that the waitress who served him was actually Candice and that Reacher could not be his father because they did not recognize. Reacher and then Samantha reluctantly part.

While preparing to leave, a phone rings in the pocket and finds Reacher phone Samantha, she had slipped on his pocket, with a last farewell. Reacher smiled as he rushed to the nearest town.
